Selected by the Sun with the 19th overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Jackson is coming off of a trio of standout seasons at Kansas, where she was a two-time All-Big 12 selection and a three-time Big 12 All-Defense member. At 6-6, Jackson has elite size and used that stature to swat 3.0 blocks per game in each of the last two seasons. In 2022-23, Jackson added 15.2 points and 12.7 rebounds per game before posting 12.6 points and 1.0 boards per game last season. The Sun have some depth pieces in place at center -- Olivia Nelson-Ododa and Astou Ndour-Fall -- but Jackson could get some looks early on if Brionna Jones, who ruptured her Achilles in June, is not ready for the start of the 2024 WNBA campaign. Jackson was selected 19th overall during the 2024 WNBA Draft in mid-April but won't end up making Connecticut's season-opening roster. The 23-year-old averaged 12.6 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks in 26.9 minutes during her final seasons at Kansas.
